CMBX Productions is sadden to say goodbye to Co-Director, Rachel Spapperi, who also played “Brittany” in The Whispers and in the upcoming film, A Less Traveled Road. Rachel was a big part in helping Director, Christopher Michael Barrera make The Whispers happen is now embracing a new chapter in her life has she and co-star, Zuri Starks (Lauren) move to LA. "We are so happy for the both as they follow their dreams and see what is in store for them."

"I've known Rachel for a good 14 years..." says Director, Christopher Michael Barrera as he shares his thoughts and heart warming words about Rachel.
"We went to the same church together and when i started photography she instantly became my first model to practice on, so creatively we connected and we were able to grow from each other's suggestions and opinions. I remember hearing that she went to school for film production so i felt it was very fitting to reach out and see if she wanted to be a part of this project (The Whispers) and of course she said yes. I was amazed at how well she showed dedication and really went out of her way to market the film through social media. She originally was hired as my coordinator director but as weeks went by I asked if she wanted to become my Co-Director, as I saw someone who not only brought in an audience but also connected with them in a way that i needed to learn and adapt to. She taught me a lot during this journey and i will forever be grateful. I am so proud of her and look forward to hearing what next big project comes her way.
I don't doubt will she make it, because she already has. she's doing something most people are to afraid off, shes taking a chance. Both her and Zuri Starks are inspiring, they show that nothing is going to stop them regardless of what others may say or think. Because for them, if what so ever they fail, they can always say they failed trying. But not even that will stop them from continually going further in their goals and dreams and i admire that in somebody."
Zuri Starks (Lauren) moved to LA early July took the time to share her thoughts about the film, her experience and director:
“This whole experience has been a ride, not everyday do you get to do what you love with your best friend (Rachel Spapperi) and along the way you get to meet people who become your friends and family. To be able to explore peoples minds and their talents is just one of the greatest gifts I think we all can give ourselves and each other especially when working on a project that is so close to home to somebody is really wonderful because you see and understand what they went through.”
“Working with Chris is great, he is very specific in what he wants because of how strong this story is, it has to be told in a certain way to get across. It was great working with him, he's easy to work with and he's very open to suggestions and when you just throw something or commit to something he appreciates it and then learns from you. I think it's important to be able to be open because it is then we all do better and let go of our guard and jump right in.”
